~ SuTurno ~

I’m a sucker for accessoires. Hats, bags, jewelry, belts; you name it, I want it. I think there is nothing better than finding the perfect accessory. There is something about that perfect accessory: it promises a life of adventure and romance. You can dream about being the perfect woman… I love these beautiful scarves by SuTurno, a Spanish brand, they are simply dreamy: SuTurno was founded in Madrid by Julia Vergara and Javier Gutierrez Bayo. We work on different design areas and media (fashion, interiors, graphics…). We are specialist in print design and have worked in projects for international clients such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jocomomola by Sybilla, Baum und Pferdgarten, Norse Projects, Hoss Intropia, Zara Home, Loreak Mendian, Indiwoman, Hakei, Laga. We also run our own brand, SuTurno, where our personal projects are carefully crafted in limited numbers by local artisans, combining quality natural materials and striking prints. All of our items are made in the UE.

ShowUp August edition 2013

Last Sunday I went to ShowUp for the second time and I saw a lot of beautiful new brands (and old) in Amsterdam-Noord. I was pleasantly surprised the fair had grown so much, it’s such a great initiative and I think its success proves that. I made photo’s of a couple of my favorites, like the incredibly talented and quirky De Krantenkapper, the environmentally conscious NikoNiko and designs by the lovely Bibi de Lang alias BL-ij and her initiative Little Black Book a collaboration with Yvette Jacobs. (we are kindred pastel sisters I’m sure). I loved the ceramic cups by Alissa + Nienke (you can buy one at Restored!), the taxidermy (you know I have a thing with that) by Luxury for Nature just to name a few. Keep your eyes out too for the new collection by Kidsonroof and check out the new papergoods at WowGoods. See you in February for sure! {1. Kidsonroof / 2. BL-ij / 3. Alissa + Nienke / 4 & 5. Jewelry: Ivy & Liv

Last time I was in Amsterdam I visited the lovely shop Tenue des Nimes. And there I saw these beautiful jewelry pieces, very delicate, but fierce at the same time. I discovered they were designed by Isabella Machine, a very talented a versatile lady. These are all very unique pieces, you should definitely keep an eye out for them! At the moment the Ivy & Liv website is being constructed but you can follow Ivy & Liv on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram. And if you’re curious about Isabella: here you can read something abut her on Interior Junkie. And yes, she is beautiful too as you can see!

Some things I love #4

Christmas is upon us and I keep thinking about shiny golden accessories. We already had snow this year but it was a bit early, would be nice if we had a white Christmas though. I would like a bright blue sky with a bright sun and a snowy white world. It always reminds me of skiing (which I love). Just some things I love, next post will be more Christmassy I promise! {1.
