Fashion: Lena Hoschek

Remember when I went to the Modefabriek? I was mostly inspired by MINT, but I did come across some brands I did not know yet. One of the stands that caught my eye in the section Refined+ was a very colorful one that seemed out of place because of its exotic and free spirited nature. The women’s clothes were all very beautiful, mostly dresses and skirts. I took a catalogue with me and was pleasantly surprised when I flipped through it back home. It had the most beautiful photo’s, of course with beautiful clothes, but the decor and feel of the campaign truly is fantastic. A lot of attention to detail went into it and as you may well know it’s all in the details. I wanted to share some of that beautiful catalogue with you, if you want to see it whole you can find it online here. The brand is Lena Hoscheck, an upmarket women fashion label from Austria. I suspect this catalogue will become a collectors-item. It’s really that great! {Because of the paper used for this catalogue – an off-white matt – any increase of ISO diminished sharpness and color. Modefabriek 2013 #1

Last monday I went to the January edition of the Modefabriek in Amsterdam. I have been fortunate enough to attend the last two editions too, so by now I have a pretty good idea which areas I have to check out. I have to see MINT  (with ambassador Egbert-Jan Weeber) of course and another area called Trash and Treasures which is pretty cool and a little bit edgy. I like the fair, clean and hip environment of MINT. Actually maybe it’s even my most favorite part of the fair. But I have to say I also get really inspired by the ‘Garage Sale Extraordinare’ where thirty sellers are handpicked to showcase (and sell!!) their handmade, vintage or young designer fashion and accessories. For me the Modefabriek was all about the details this edition. So lots of accessories and small details that caught my eye. I have posted some pics on Instagram too and will highlight some new brands the coming weeks.   {1. Modefabriek promo photo / 2. Modefabriek 2012

I promised to share some impressions of the Modefabriek, which I was so fortunate to attend. There were two especially inspiring areas called mint (which featured ethical fashion and lifestyle brands) and a section called cutting edge. I saw a lot of labels I didn’t know yet and of course I saw the collections of my favorite brands. {1. cutting edge area} {2. mint shop area} {3. stat division} {4. alexandra kiesel} {5. 10feet} {6. baum und pferdgarten}
